Ahlan WA Sahlan, Welcome, to the Website of the Consular Corps in Lebanon.

The first Honorary Consul to Lebanon was appointed in 1948. The present organization of the Consular Corps in Lebanon was initiated in 1986 and is now comprised of Honorary Consuls representing 111 overseas countries.

A large number of the Consuls are prominent Lebanese personalities from the different working sectors (Businessmen, Bankers, engineers, lawyers, doctors, traders.), and from all religious sects, representing countries important to Lebanon.

The purpose of this site is to provide pertinent information about the countries which the Consular Corps members represent. It also helps encourage and promote the exchange of economic, touristic, social, and educational information, and strengthen the political relationships between Lebanon and Corps member countries.
